Shoreham is the home of the Sussex Yacht Club and Shoreham Sailing Club. Whilst further along the coast is the Lancing Sailing Club.  Yachts and dinghy's can be seen racing off the Beach most weekends.  Situated at the mouth of the River Adur is the Adur Outdoor Activity Centre which offers courses in sailing, canoeing and sea kayaking.  Offshore, the English Channel offers a number of interesting dive sites and Shoreham is the home to a number of dive specialists and boat charter companies (see advert to the left).  Shoreham Harbour is a thriving port with the Lady B Marina and numerous marine related companies including chandlers, sail makers, fishmongers etc

Hint: Remember the area within the Yellow Buoys (ie shore-side) is covered by Bye-Laws and include a speed limit of 8 knots and the dangerous use of water craft is prohibited.
